Ms Christel Lemmon
MA Cognitive Psychology

Christel first came to NARI in 1996 to work with geriatrician Dr. Eric Seal in a study trying to differentiate different types of dementia using quantitative EEG. This was a part of her Masters degree in Cognitive Psychology she was undertaking at the Catholic University of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Christel came back to Australia in 1998 to commence her PhD with the topic of electrophysiological measures of information processing in delirium and dementia and normal ageing. Between 2000 and 2005 she worked part-time at the Cognitive Dementia and Memory Service (CDAMS) doing various administrative and clinical duties. From 2006 to 2008 she worked at the Academic Unit for Psychiatry of Old Age at St. Georges Hospital in Kew as a research assistant in various drug trials and other research projects. In 2007 Christel began working at NARI on a number of CDAMS related projects.
