Victoria completed her Bachelor of Behavioural Science with Honours in 2009. Her thesis was on the effects of Omega-3 and Selenium on fat mass and blood pressure in rodents. She joined the Preventative and Public Health Division at NARI in 2010 as a Research Assistant and is currently involved in a study designed to identify suitable cognitive screening tools to assess older people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds in English speaking countries. She is also involved in the development of a community based education program to increase early detection of dementia and cognitive impairment in people from Chinese and Vietnamese background living in Melbourne. This projects aims to improve the referral rates of these people to memory services.
