Xiaoping finished her four year tertiary education in psychology in 2007 and began to work at NARI as a Research Assistant since 2008. Before that, she worked as a HR officer in China for five years and worked at the Victorian Government for a short time. She has great interest in research on older people, in particular, cross-cultural studies in this area. Her fourth year project examined cross-cultural differences in students' attitudes towards older adults.
Xiaoping has commenced her PhD in early 2010 under the supervision of Dr. Christina Bryant (Melbourne University), Dr. Briony Dow (NARI) and Associate Professor Jennifer Boldero (Melbourne University). Her topic is intergenerational relationship and mental health in older migrants.
